Words For Today:  February 26, 2012

Sufficient
Iconoclast
Taciturn

Sufficient

Adequate for the purpose, enough.
Competent.

I believe that the amount of research and study that has been completed is sufficient to reach a decision.

Iconoclast

A person who attacks cherished beliefs, traditional institutions.
A breaker or destroyer of images, especially those set up for religious veneration.

As a non-believer, he really serves as an iconoclast to all of religion.

Taciturn

Inclined to silence; reserved in speech; reluctant to join in conversation.
Dour, stern, and silent in expression and manner.

James is normally taciturn in these settings but tonight he seemed more at ease.
