To exist or be situated within.

The bears of Arcadia inhabit that deep, dark cave.

Ambiguous

Open to having several possible meanings or interpretations.
Of doubtful or uncertain nature.
Lacking clearness or definiteness.

His instructions to the group were ambiguous at best.

Etched

To cut, bite, or corrode with an acid or the like.
To outline clearly or sharply.
Delineate.
To fix permanently in or implant firmly on the mind.

My time with her is firmly etched in my mind.
