It is disheartening when one politician speaks of another with such inventive language.

Promoting or conducive to some beneficial purpose.

I found the exhibit at the Mall to be very beneficial as well as salutary.

She can become very petulant when she doesn't get her way.

Johnny was cryptic.  I have no idea why he wants us there now instead of this afternoon.

What really makes the decision unfair is the arbitrary fashion in which it was decided.

Leisurely and steady in movement or action.



He wanted to make sure that he was deliberate in his movement through the obstacle course.



Rotund



Round in shape; rounded.

Plump; fat.

Full-toned or sonorous.



You may choose to call John fat but I prefer to describe him as rotund.

Spiritless; sluggish; dull.

When I visited her at the nursing home, she seemed to hold no emotion, almost inanimate in nature.
