Fret

To feel or express worry, annoyance, discontent.
To cause corrosion, wearing away.

You should not fret over something that you have no control over. 

Invaluable

Inestimable worth.
Beyond calculable or appraisable value.

Those letters written by my father are invaluable to me. 

Tenacious

Holding fast, characterized by keeping a firm hold.
Highly retentive, pertinacious, persistent.

When she knows her authority is being challenged, she gets tenacious in her work.
