James was devout in his faith choosing a lifestyle and work ethic that was characteristic of a person of faith.

Subservient

Subordinate.
Servile; excessively submissive.
Useful in promoting a purpose or end.

Steven was always subservient to the wishes of others.

Exposition

A large public exhibition or show.
Setting forth, explaining.
The act of presenting to view or display.

While in Chicago, I will be attending an exposition on new information technology.
