Holding fasts; characterized by keeping a firm hold.
Highly retentive.
Pertinacious, persistent, stubborn or obstinate.

She has been tenacious in not allowing any contact between them. 

Surreptitious

Obtained, done, made by stealth; secret or unauthorized.
Acting in a stealthy way.

His behavior was surreptitious; no one was aware that he was considering such a move.
