Urge on, stimulate or prompt to action.

The captain along with his coach did their best to incite the team to victory.

Atypical

Not conforming to type.
Irregular; abnormal.

Jenny's behavior is atypical of someone suffering from that form of illness.

Apathy

Absence or suppression of passion, emotion or excitement.
Lack of interest in or concern for things that others find moving or exciting.

His apathy for life is evidenced by his lack of participation and willingness to be involved.
