To fake; forge.

Steven often made a point to fabricate a story in order to gain a laugh.

Cynical

Distrusting or disparaging the motives of others.
Bitterly distrustful, contemptuous or pessimistic.

His father always displayed a cynical attitude when it came to elected officials.

Disobedience

Refusal to comply.
Disregard or transgression.

Joseph frequently showed signs of disobedience in the classroom when it came to listening.
